Mission Statement

The English Language Programs Alumni Network (ELPAN) is an independent organization led by the alumni of English Language Programs (ELP). We support ELP and the English Language Programs’ alumni community by continuing to promote cross-cultural understanding through quality English Language teaching. ELPAN fulfills its purpose by providing mentorship, educational programming, advocacy, and community building opportunities for alumni and the broader public.

ELPAN members:

  • Collaborate on initiatives that advance the mission of English Language Programs (ELP), a program of the U.S. Department of State.

  • Support program activities and the continuity of English Language Programs.

  • Inspire and support each other by sharing impactful projects and best practices in global education.

  • Access learning opportunities, including professional resources, training, and book clubs.

  • Leverage alumni connections to strengthen educational outreach worldwide.

  • Stay informed with relevant updates beyond those available in the ELP Community of Practice (CoP).

Program alumni participate in ELPAN as private citizens. As a private group, ELPAN is not affiliated with English Language Programs or the U.S. Department of State.
